Prison agency investigating death of inmate at facility near Cumberland

Maryland's prison agency was investigating the death of an inmate at the Western Correctional Institution near Cumberland.

The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said a staff member of the maximum-security prison found the inmate unresponsive in his cell about 5:15 a.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The agency did not release the inmate's name and said the cause was unknown.  More...    PrisonerPal.com
