Inmate accused of plotting to kill DuPage judge who sentenced him

A Wheaton man serving a lengthy prison term was accused Wednesday of offering a fellow inmate $70,000 to kill his ex-wife, the judge who sentenced him, the prosecutor and a former friend.

Gordon Vanderark, 53, has been charged with four counts each of solicitation of murder and solicitation of murder for hire, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said at a bail hearing.

Vanderark targeted DuPage County Judge Blanche Hill Fawell, who sentenced him in 2010 to 16 years after his 10th conviction for driving under the influence, and Assistant State's Attorney Audrey Anderson, who prosecuted the case, authorities say.  More    PrisonerPal.com   True Crime Today  Magazine Subscriptions for Prisoners since 1975
