Cambridge Springs prison to get $17.8M

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS -- The state women's prison here is in line to grow, but at a slower pace than what prison officials had hoped.The state Department of Corrections has received capital budget funding to add more beds to four of its 27 facilities. This includes $17.8 million to add a 230-bed, medium-security unit at the State Correctional Institution at Cambridge Springs, department spokeswoman Susan McNaughton said Monday. More...
